Stacking the Shelves and Showcase Sunday #1

Stacking the Shelves and Showcase Sunday are weekly memes hosted by Tynga's Reviews and Books, Biscuits, and Tea respectively.

I've got a lot of books this week! Yay!

In the (e)mail:

Love Comes Later and From Dunes to Dior by Mohanalakshmi Rajakumar
Thanks, Novel Publicity!

I'm reading Love Comes Later right now for an upcoming blog tour! Will probably get to From Dunes to Dior if I have enough time, as I love learning about other cultures!

From NetGalley:

Thank you, Curiosity Quills PressAndrea K Höst, and Bold Stroke Books!

Ever by Jessa Russo
The Gathering Darkness by Lisa Collicutt
And All the Stars by Andrea K Höst
Andy Squared by Jennifer Lavoie - this one will be a first for me...

And here it is, book of the week...

A Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin!

I've been wanting to read A Song of Ice and Fire ever since the TV series air, and I'm finally getting to it with some of my friends on Goodreads!

So how's your book haul this week? Share in the comments!

  1. I've read Ever and And All the Stars. I didn't like Ever at all, but enjoyed AAtS. I hope it works out better for you! :)

    1. What a shame Ever didn't work out for you! I haven't got to reading it yet, but the cover and the synopsis look so interesting I just have to pick it up. I'm so glad you enjoyed AAtS though - now I can't wait to start reading!

    1. It's a bit intimidating at first for me too - but once I started I just got so drawn in the story! Actually, I think you would like it, the series' got a bit of Magical Realism in it (at least that's what I think!)

    1. Thanks! I just checked out your STS too :)
Anyway, your blog looks amazing - but I guess I'm a bit partial because I'm in love with Frodo Baggins!

  7. A Song of Ice and Fire series is amazing and Game of Thrones tv show is as equally amazing (and does the first book justice!). I hope you enjoy the series as it is just out of this world. I can't wait to re-read them soon for a uni essay! One of the best series ever! :)

    1. Thank you! Yes, I'm nearly halfway through the first book and I absolutely love it! It must be really exciting to get to read your favorite series for an essay, isn't it? Most essays I write at school are about classics and books like that, and while I like some of them, I'm hoping for it to change when I'm at uni!

I love comments! Although sometimes I can't reply to all of them, but I do read (and appreciate) each and every one :)
